While I agree with the sentiment of what you've written to the new owners of HERE, I can't help feeling there's a distinctly anti-OSM vibe from this piece.

The heyday of map data as a defensible proprietary asset is rapidly coming to a close. Open up the HERE dataset and let an open data community help with its stewardship.
